PENDLETON — Spring Valley Quilt Guild of Pendleton will play host to the 43rd Quilts in the Park quilt show Sept. 5-8 at Pendleton Historical Museum in Falls Park.
The show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that Thursday through Saturday and 1:30 to 3 p.m. that Sunday.
In addition to more than 100 quilts on display, there will be handmade items for sale, as well as fabric, books, notions and patterns.
The guild also will sell raffle tickets for this year’s quilt made by guild members. There will also be mini-lessons throughout the quilt show on a wide variety of quilting and crafting topics.
The show also will feature the guild’s 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Susie Delp of Pendleton.
Delp has served in most capacities during her 20-plus years of membership in the guild.
She has worked in two local quilt shops and made many quilts for friends, family, former military members and various charity groups.
In addition to Spring Valley, Delp also belongs to the Redbud and Indiana State quilt guilds and Hoosier Machine Quilters.
Delp and husband Jim have a large and international family with two children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A reception at 2 p.m. Sept. 5 will honor her, and a sampling of her quilts will be on display throughout the show.
