FISHERS — Lapel High School sophomore girls basketball player Laniah Wills was among some of the top underclassmen in the state at last week’s All-Star “Futures Game.”

The event, held at Hamilton Southeastern High School, paired current freshman and sophomores against each other in a North-South format.

It was the second year the event was part of the Indiana All-Star basketball program.

Last year, juniors played in the event as well.

The girls played at 6 p.m., followed by the boys game.

Wills, who was part of the North team, scored eight points, grabbed three rebounds, dished out one assist and had one steal in just more than 16 minutes of playing time.

The South won the game 97-84.

Players and coaches for the All-Star Futures Games were picked by a Futures Games committee chaired by games director Mike Broughton.
