Barbara A. (Weatherford) Burke, 83, of Pendleton, died Dec. 25, 2011 at St. John’s Medical Center in Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, Carroll E. Burke; daughter, Linda (Stephen) Castor of Pendleton; son, Gary (Carla) Burke of Anderson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Garnet) Weatherford of Anderson, Marjorie (Jack) Hamilton of Napa Valley, Calif., and Betty (Gene) Crosley of Fairfield Glades, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Ruby Mae (Buchanan) Weatherford.

Services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton, with Pastor Claude Creel officiating. Visitation was held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at Lahm Chapel, and included a Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m., followed by an Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Service. Burial was at Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
