Main Street group conducts callouts

PENDLETON — Main Street Pendleton — a non-profit that aims to bring businesses, individuals and community organizations together to improve the quality of life in town — plans the second of two orientations for people interested in learning about the group and volunteer opportunities.
The orientation session is set for 6 to 7 p.m. today in the Sycamore A Room at Pendleton Community Public Library, 595 E. Water St., Pendleton.
The stated Main Street Pendleton mission is “to cultivate and conserve a viable downtown district emblematic of our community’s high value on the quality of life that residents and visitors alike have come to expect. A strong emphasis on downtown preservation and innovative development is an essential component of the integrity and stability of our beloved community.”
