PENDLETON — A Pendleton man was arrested recently on two felony charges of child molestation after a four-month Indiana State Police investigation.

Thomas Francum, 51, Pendleton, was arrested Dec. 11 and booked into Madison County Jail.

The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred from August 2010 to August 2016 at Francum’s leased home, located on the grounds of Pendleton Correctional Facility.

Francum was the executive director of technology for Indiana Department of Correction.

The alleged victim was younger than 10 at the time of the initial incident.

Pendleton District ISP detectives began investigating an allegation of child molestation on Aug. 1.

A search warrant was served at Francum’s home Aug. 30; Francum was placed on unpaid suspension that day.

The completed investigation was later turned over to Madison County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
